Hemp Extract Information

Hemp Extracts and Your Endocannabinoid System

Hemp extract contains cannabinoids, which are naturally occuring chemical compounds.

These compounds include CBD (cannabidol), CBG (cannabigerol), THC

(tetrahydracannabinol), as well as many others.

CBD and CBG

CBD and CBG are non-psychoactive phytocannabinoids found in hemp. We grow

different strains of hemp that are bred (not genetically modified) to be heavy in CBD or

CBG, and low in THC. Our CBD strains are extracted to produce our CBD products, and

our CBG strains are extracted to produce our CBG products. Our full spectrum products

highlight either CBD or CBG (or both, as in our Great Divide formula) along with other

smaller levels of naturally occurring cannabinoids. Our isolate products remove all other

cannabinoids and highlight one single cannabinoid.

While CBD has become relatively well known, CBG is a lesser known, but promising

cannabinoid. CBG is the non-acidic form of CBGA (cannabigerolic acid). CBGA is

considered the mother of the other cannabinoids, from which the other cannabinoids are

all derived. Because of this relationship, there is speculation that CBD and CBG can have

a synergistic effect when used together.
